Fundamentals of Visualisation
FUNDAMENTALS OF VISUALISATION
The typical process of visualisation involves identifying what you desire, and then forming a mental image of your life when that desire comes to fruition. However, unbeknownst to many, visualisation is not just about dreaming of your end goal…
When we talk about manifesting your dream life, we don’t only mean imagining the future you want. Manifesting is not the dream you have. Manifesting is the process of achieving your dream.
If you spend your time only visualising the end result, you will begin to socialise your mind and body to that. You begin to feel the satisfaction of the goal, without having achieved what you wanted. However, in order to actually get to the end, your visualisation should be used to imagine all the smaller, more tedious and difficult steps it’s going to take to get you there.
For instance, one of your big goals was to start a business, imagine yourself working the extra hours outside of your current job, saying ‘no’ to occasional weekend drinks, and taking time to shift your priorities. By doing this, you condition your mind to the actual process of achieving your goal. You can smooth out your mind’s resistance to all the work that’s going to be required, whilst simultaneously dreaming big.
Visualisation gives you the power. You can decide what you want, and how you’re going to get there. You can use it to imagine your big goals, to lower your body’s resistance to change, or in the best case scenario - both.
